Epic movements and learn about how God can use us to start a college
revival. We are to be SENT out into this world...including our college
years! Talent Show participants and attendees: The AACM Talent Show is Saturday Feb 16 from 8-11pm in the Hogg Auditorium. Come early, and get a good seat! :) Epic Camping Trip February 29- March 1 weekend.

This Saturday November 10 we're having the Epic-nic on the 6pack lawn from 1-3:30pm! Epic wants to welcome newcomers and freshman, so meet a new friend. "Strangers are just friends we haven't met yet!"

As for change...this email is a little bit early as you will notice! The reason is that I wanted you to know that we will not be having a regular Epic weekly meeting this Thursday because of an engaging outreach event on campus!
This event is called the Power of Porn which will be held on Thursday at 7pm in the Hogg Auditorium and Friday at 7pm in Burdine 106.
The same presentation will be showing both nights, but the Thursday
place will hold more. Last time this event was held on the UT campus in
2003, people couldn't get in the doors, so come early! (people from tx
state are coming =O )
Also, I can't stress enough to each of y'all that as intimidating as the event sounds, you will want to bring your friends (especially non-believers)! I've already previewed the speaker Gene McConnell when he came to campus, and the message addresses that Porn
is not the problem but a symptom, and the real problem lies within our
need for authentic relationships, where we can be known and be loved.
The
second part of Gene's message will talk about entering a relationship
with God and experiencing His unconditional love. However, the audience
will be told of this and if they would rather not hear it, there is an
intermission for people to freely leave and not be noticed. It's not a
trick to get all your non-Christian friends to secretly hear the
Gospel. It's their choice! Give them that opportunity though! And
follow up with discussion afterwards, to see what they thought about
it!

| As for new...we will be moving locations for this week's Epic meeting!!
AHH i know...don't worry though it's not too far! We will be meeting at Hill Country Bible Church UT (HCBCUT) Student Fellowship room.
The church is located at the corner of 22nd and San Antonio. For the
more visual learners, it's caddy corner to the Scientology building;
there's also a picture/directions on the church's website http://hcbcut.com/about/directions.php. Same time 7pm!
Also, our last Epic IM Football game is this Sunday at 4pm
at the Clark Fields. Come play or cheer us on! Rides will be given at Jester Beach at 3pm.

Epic
has an IM volleyball team! Let Rebecca Le know if you want to play
(rebnle@sbcglobal.net). Games are on Tuesday nights at 9PM starting on
Oct. 16th.
Also, if you are still interested in playing IM
football with us (Sundays at 4PM with practices on Saturday
mornings/afternoons) let Jeremy know.
And, if you want to be in
a small group, let Jonathan Le know (leonathan05-epic@yahoo.com) if you
didn't get a chance to sign up last week.
