Epic weekly meeting this Thursday 7pm in the Eastwood Room in the Union.

Chinese New Year Volunteers: Saturday and/or Sunday Feb 9-10 and rides will be arranged by Shina. Contact her (swtshyna@gmail.com) if you have any questions or concerns.

Epic West Coast Conference is February 15-18 in San Jose, CA. It's still not to late to register! Meet other college students from Epic movements and learn about how God can use us to start a college revival. We are to be SENT out into this world...including our college years!

Talent Show participants and attendees: The AACM Talent Show is Saturday Feb 16 from 8-11pm in the Hogg Auditorium. Come early, and get a good seat! :)

Epic Camping Trip February 29- March 1 weekend. Please sign up at the end of Epic meeting. Also, Shina and the community team really need help planning and organizing things, so email her if you would like to help!

Epic weekly meeting this Thursday at 7pm in the Eastwood Room in the Union! come come...unless you have that chem exam, in which case we will dearly miss you!

This Saturday November 10 we're having the Epic-nic on the 6pack lawn from 1-3:30pm! Epic wants to welcome newcomers and freshman, so meet a new friend. "Strangers are just friends we haven't met yet!"

As for change...this email is a little bit early as you will notice! The reason is that I wanted you to know that we will not be having a regular Epic weekly meeting this Thursday because of an engaging outreach event on campus!

This event is called the Power of Porn which will be held on Thursday at 7pm in the Hogg Auditorium and Friday at 7pm in Burdine 106. The same presentation will be showing both nights, but the Thursday place will hold more. Last time this event was held on the UT campus in 2003, people couldn't get in the doors, so come early! (people from tx state are coming =O )

Also, I can't stress enough to each of y'all that as intimidating as the event sounds, you will want to bring your friends (especially non-believers)! I've already previewed the speaker Gene McConnell when he came to campus, and the message addresses that Porn is not the problem but a symptom, and the real problem lies within our need for authentic relationships, where we can be known and be loved.

The second part of Gene's message will talk about entering a relationship with God and experiencing His unconditional love. However, the audience will be told of this and if they would rather not hear it, there is an intermission for people to freely leave and not be noticed. It's not a trick to get all your non-Christian friends to secretly hear the Gospel. It's their choice! Give them that opportunity though! And follow up with discussion afterwards, to see what they thought about it!

Epic Prayer & Worship at the CHOP (aka Campus House of Prayer located behind Mellow Mushroom Pizza restaurant on Guadulupe). Tomorrow at 6-7pm! Come as you are...late, cold, or just still questioning prayer! We've all been called to worship God. What does worship mean? What is prayer? ...come ask me!

As for new...we will be moving locations for this week's Epic meeting!! AHH i know...don't worry though it's not too far! We will be meeting at Hill Country Bible Church UT (HCBCUT) Student Fellowship room. The church is located at the corner of 22nd and San Antonio. For the more visual learners, it's caddy corner to the Scientology building; there's also a picture/directions on the church's website http://hcbcut.com/about/directions.php. Same time 7pm!

Also, our last Epic IM Football game is this Sunday at 4pm at the Clark Fields. Come play or cheer us on! Rides will be given at Jester Beach at 3pm.

Hi y'all!

Well I know we are all quite stressed over the first round of midterms, but I hope you all can come out and take a break to see some old and new Epic faces!

We will be having our Epic weekly meeting today, Thursday in the Eastwood Room located right behind the information desk in the Union. We'll be starting at 7pm, so arrive on time so you won't miss anything!

Other Events:
Texas Fall Retreat 2007 is this October 5-7. Texas college students from different Campus Crusade ministries (the larger organization that Epic is a part of) will be coming together to find what it means to Abide in Christ. Cost is $70 if you register by tomorrow and goes up $10 after that. Check out all the details at www.texasfallretreat.com and pray about it!)

Weekly Prayer meetings on Tuesday's from 6-7 PM at the Campus House of Prayer (CHOP) which is located behind Mellow Mushroom on Guadalupe. After all, prayer is essential to our spiritual growth, and is the first step in knowing God.

We will now be regularly meeting on Thursdays at 7PM in the
Eastwood Room at the Union (with a couple of exceptions for the room, but we'll
let you know when that happens). The Eastwood room is right behind the
information desk, so if you enter into the Union from the West Mall entrance
(between the tower and the drag), then take a right once you get in and you'll
see the room. We will probably have our board set up outside the room, so you
really can't miss it! This week, we'll be talking more about what the Epic
Movement is and how you can be a part of it!

Also, if you are still interested in playing IM football with us (Sundays at 4PM
with practices on Saturday mornings/afternoons) please email me your name, UT
EID, and phone number so I can get you on the roster for this year. If you
signed up on the sign up sheet last week, then I just need your UT EID.

And, if you want to be in a small group, let Jonathan Le know

We're starting off the Epic semester on an unusual day (usually held on Thursdays), but we hope to see you there! Be prepared for worship, discussion, socializing, some loitering, and fun. Location: the Union, Governor's Room.

every meeting after that will be held on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Union Eastwood room.

We're going to be popping up all over campus at our tables and UT group events, so please feel free to stop by and say hi! Some UT events we're hoping to show up at are:
